Cricket Emerges Victorious

The “Nyanza Cricket Association” has just completed its first cricket tournament successfully. The success is even sweeter when the path is difficult and after all the hard work, its cricket that’s finally emerged as the real winner.

Eight Senior boys’ teams locked horns with each other to be crowned champions of Nyanza.

Jalaram Academy [A]
Jalaram Academy [B]
Kisumu Day Secondary
Kasagam Secondary
Muslim Secondary
Youth Sports and Development Alliance of Kenya [YSDAK] club


Unfortunately Braeburn did not attend this time as they lost one of their student. Nyanza Cricket Association is also in talks with Mr. P. Saini kake [Chairman] Simba Club. Simba may also have a team text time.

[YSDAK] was runner-up


Kisumu Senior Academy’s Subham Patel was the player of the series and their batter Darshan Patel was awarded the best batsman. YSDAK clubs Owino was awarded the best bowler. “Nyanza Cricket Association” should groom the boys for the furtre.

St.Teresa Girls Secondary won and Kisumu Senior Academy was runner-up

Juniors was mostly a Kisumu Academy affair. With both their boys and Girls winning and Ogada Primary finishing second.

Mr. Gerald Omollo [Chairman] and his troops have done a commendable job.
